Lipscomb's Institute for Law, Justice & Society, SALT and the Center for Nonprofit Management to host Collaborate for a Cause conference
In light of the ongoing global financial crisis many nonprofit organizations are looking for ways to cut costs and be better stewards of the funds they receive. With many families’ budgets tightening, nonprofit organizations are likely to see a drop in contributions this year. Several organizations have already begun banding together to stretch their limited resources. Collaboration allows them to streamline their efforts by sharing overhead costs and stretching their dollar a little farther.
On January 27th Lipscomb University’s Institute for Law, Justice & Society is joining with the SALT (Serving and Learning Together) Program and the Center for Nonprofit Management to host Collaborate for a Cause conference.
This conference will offer fresh ideas on how to take the first step towards collaboration. The conference will include a variety of presenters ranging from representatives from the financial world, to governmental representatives from the new administration, to nonprofit leaders who have made collaboration work for their organization.
The Lipscomb community along with area nonprofit organizations are invited to attend as we discuss funder preferences for collaborative proposals, identify opportunities for collaboration with other nonprofits, governmental agencies and corporations, work together to generate ideas for collaboration and create an action plan to move towards collaborative initiatives.
